Description Small (30cm) summer-flowering perennial with daisy-like flowers in spring. Available colours include white, cream, tan, yellow, orange and pink. Good choice as a border plant, for rockeries, window boxes, or for growing on slopes and a suitable plant for seaside gardens. Only needs occasional watering.
Growing Gazanias thrive in full sun, dry conditions and revel in salt air. A well drained position is essential. Propagate from seed or seedlings in spring and summer in normal potting mix. Gazanias grow in clumps thus established plants can be divided after flowering. Feed with liquid fertiliser as soon as the spring flower buds appear. Warm and hot climates.
