Description

This evergreen, slender upright tree (5-8m) is commonly known as ‘Native Frangipani’.

It is a shapely and open spreading plant, with almost horizontal branches.

Leaves are large pointed oval shaped, glossy and deep green.

Flowers are sweet scented, initially creamy white and then age to golden yellow. Blooms from September to December.

Makes a great accent tree in warmer gardens.

Growing

Prefers a sunny position and grows in a variety of soils.

A rapid grower in all temperate climates including coastal regions.

Propagate from seed best soon after collection.

Cuttings can be struck from semi-hardwood in a moist mix of sand and peatmoss.
